I always have problems with Spotify Connect on my Sonos. It is my #1 biggest complaint about Sonos. I don't do the local music library or airplay 2 or any of that. I primarily listen to my audio through Spotify. It is incredibly frustrating that my Spotify Connect rarely works properly with Sonos. Everything else about this system is amazing. For example, songs are skipped or I get the message 'Connection to Spotify lost. File not found 'o.i.d. I have this not only when I want to play music in the living room (Sonos 5.1 - 1x ARC, 2x Play: 1 and 1x SUB), but also when I want to play music via the Play: 1 in the study. Just tested mine out and zero problems playing Spotify on my Sonos speakers via the Spotify app directly. This may sound crazy, but try restarting your speaker(s) to reset/reestablish the wifi connection on it and maybe restart your router as well. We’d firstly suggest simply removing Spotify as a service. You can remove Spotify as service from the Sonos app, go into the app and navigate to services. Once there, find Spotify, hold down and remove the app, once uninstalled, wait around 10 minutes. Go back into services and add Spotify again to the list of approved services in the Sonos app.

1. Spotify
While you’re listening to music in Spotify on the Nativ Vita, select “DEVICES AVAILABLE” to connect to a Sonos room or room group.
Note: For the Sonos devices to show up in Spotify under “DEVICES AVAILABLE,” you will first need to link your Sonos products to your Sonos Account by opening the Sonos app on your Smartphone or computer and tapping on the More tab > Settings > My Sonos Account and following the on-screen prompts*.
